    I live just 2 miles from this project. Sad thing is, after all the time and money, TVA completely stopped the nuclear plant project shortly after this huge move. Never knew the exact reason why. All the buildings were half finished. The land is now being used as an industrial park.

    An interesting note is that the plant was never finished. Look up Phipps Bend, Hawkins, Tennessee on Google maps and You can still see this standing in the unfinished shell of the building.

    @ToWYoMama
    even if it cost more to move than make, both still have to be done anyway!
    I wonder if it would have been cheaper to build it on site after moving manufacturing equipment or some of it?
    even to have built small sections then welded together at sight?
    or a giant helium baloon/s?

    What’s film? LOL just kidding. BUt this is amazing. I wonder what the time was on it? days? And why 2 barges couldn’t just take it up? Those 10% grades must have been scary to deal with.

    But I really got to ask, was it really cheaper to build it then move it?

    Never the less this was enjoy able to watch thanks
